    Geothermal Heating and Cooling

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, geothermal systems are “the most energy efficient, environmentally clean, and cost effective space conditioning available today.

Fact #1: Installation price of a Geothermal system is drastically less than most people think!

Fact #2: Lower Operating Costs, Enhanced Comfort, Quiet Operation, Reliability and Environmental Friendliness are all benefits of a Geothermal heating and cooling system!

Fact #3: Geothermal heating and cooling is typically a better financial investment than Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Real Estate, Futures or Precious Metals!

Fact #4: Geothermal heating and cooling is more common than most people are aware, having been installed locally in places such as: Hardin Valley Academy, Southwest Elementary School, Prospect Elementary School in Seymour, Dyllis Springs Elementary School in Oliver Springs, Grainger County High School, City of Knoxville Transit Center, the new University of TN Sorority Complex, Hallsdale-Powell Utility District Offices, and many many churches, offices and residences!

Located in East Tennessee, A & C Trades, has been serving the Knoxville area since 1977. We are dedicated to giving you the highest level of integrity, professionalism and quality workmanship. We offer an un-paralleled level of customer service, education, and support.

We offer free energy analysis and estimates. If you are in the Knoxville metropolitan area (or surrounding counties from Johnson City to Athens, Tennessee) and would like to know more about the system(s) please contact us today.

Why Choose Geothermal Heating and Cooling?

SAVINGS:  Generally no other heating and cooling system offers lower operating costs. Ground-source Geothermal technology helps to save up to 70% on your utility bill for heating, cooling and hot water because of the more efficient operation compared to conventional HVAC systems. Additionally, ground-source geothermal systems, on average, last twice as long as conventional HVAC systems. Currently through the 2016 fiscal year ground-source Geothermal heating and cooling systems qualify for a 30% tax credit which is unlimited in the amount you can receive.  TVA and other state and local governments may offer additional tax and/or rebate incentives depending upon your specific location.

COMFORT: Ground-source Geothermal heating and cooling systems provide even temperatures throughout the year. They provide dryer air in the summer because they do not bring in the humid outside air.  Thus, ground-source Geothermal systems often negate the need for additional de-humidification in a home.  In the winter, ground-source Geothermal systems often negate the need for additional humidification as they are not drawing outside air, often drastically lower temperatures than the air within the home.  By not having to exceedingly heat the air, Geothermal systems result in moist winter air comfort.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY: Geothermal heating and cooling is a clean, green, and renewable technology to reduce your carbon footprint now and for future generations.

RELIABLE: Geothermal heating and cooling systems last longer than ordinary heat pumps and air conditioners. Since the geothermal unit contains fewer moving parts, they typically operate 25-30 years with little maintenance.  This extended life of a Geothermal system is double the life expectancy of a conventional HVAC unit.

QUIET OPERATION: Unlike ordinary heat pumps and air conditioners, no outdoor unit is required for ground-source Geothermal heating and cooling systems. The ground-source Geothermal units come equipped with heavy duty, fully insulated cabinets, as well as quiet soft starting blowers.

FLEXIBILITY: Geothermal systems allow for the heating, cooling and supplemental water heating to all stem from a single unit. Geothermal heating and cooling systems are are offered in a wide variety of models and options to fit any application.  These models and options include both Horizontal and Vertical units so that they may fit within a wide verity of space demands.

FREE HOT WATER: During the units operation, free excess heat is used to supplement the home’s water heater which can greatly reduce the energy consumption used for heating water.

ENERGY INDEPENDENCE: Geothermal heating and cooling systems drastically reduce our nation’s need to import fuels for use as energy.

SAFE AND CLEAN: No flame, no flue, no odors!  No sun required, no fossil fuels need to be consumed and the outside temperature has little importance!
